Palermo is part of the City Football Group, a global network of football clubs. Inzaghi's new team finished eighth in Serie B last season and narrowly missed out on promotion through the play-offs.
Throughout his coaching career, Inzaghi has shown a talent for helping teams gain promotion to higher divisions. Before joining Palermo, he led Venezia to Serie C promotion in 2017 and took Benevento to Serie A in 2020.
