Phillips has expressed his gratitude to Liverpool fans and the club on his Instagram account. He said: "Thank you for all the memories, love, and support. This club has been a huge part of my life, and I'll always be grateful for the opportunities it's given me and the people I've met along the way." He also mentioned that it's been an honour to represent Liverpool, and he's proud of his time at the club.
Phillips is the first summer transfer to leave the club, following Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher. Other players, including Jarrell Quansah, Joe Gomez, Harvey Elliott, and Darwin Nunez, are also expected to depart the club as it undergoes significant changes despite winning the Premier League title.
Phillips has bid farewell to the Reds, wishing the club and its fans the best of luck for the future. He signed off with the iconic Liverpool phrase: "You'll Never Walk Alone."
