Semedo joined Wolves in 2020 from Barcelona for an initial £27.5 million. During his time at the club, he played under four different permanent head coaches: Bruno Lage, Julen Lopetegui, Gary O’Neil, and Vitor Pereira.
In a heartfelt goodbye message, Semedo thanked the club, his teammates, and the supporters for their support. He praised the fans for creating amazing atmospheres and for always supporting him, even during difficult times.
Semedo also expressed his appreciation for the opportunities he had at Wolves, including captaining the team. He revealed that he is now a lifelong fan of the club and hopes to return to Wolves one day in the future.
His final match as a Wolves player was against Brentford in May, where he helped the team avoid relegation to the Championship. Semedo said it is time for him to start a new chapter and wishes the club and its supporters all the best.
"Wolves Ay We - I'm looking forward to seeing you again one day," Semedo said in a video message, signing off with the club's motto.
